Goals
|
- To effectively resolve issues related to students by counseling the students at undergraduate level & mentoring students at postgraduate level at University College.
- To minimize educational barriers, enhance learning activities, and assist students in exploring and identifying goals in order to achieve success through industry & international linkage.
- To teach strategies that facilitate student learning so that individuals are better able to solve problems, make decisions, accept responsibility, and modify behavior.

The Committees which fall under the Student Counseling Office are:

The Class Representatives Committee consists of two representatives from each class. Election of Class Representatives is conducted once in a year at the beginning of academic year.
Elected Class Representatives elect the President and Vice-President of the Class Representative Committee.
The Class Representatives Committee also consists of Head of Academics, Head of Departments of Sports, Student Counseling Officer, Student Affairs Officer, Learning Support Services and Administration.

Terms of Membership:

Members are appointed for a period of one year and re-appointment is subject to the student’s performance and group involvement.
|
|

Student Services Department coordinates the formation of these Committees and the elections of committee heads. All the committees will have separate monthly meetings. Subsequently, all committee heads will meet on monthly basis.
A brief description of student committees is as follows:

Events committee:
|
|
Responsible to coordinate and organize year round events in college. Also the committee will be responsible to coordinate the intercollegiate activities and competitions. The committee head will be elected by the committee members.

STUDENT EVENTS COMMITTEE LIST

Sub events committee:
|
|
Responsible for Creating the feel of the sub events in the campus and to coordinate for necessary logistics. The committee head will be elected by the committee members.

News line committee:
|
|
Responsible for various activities related to the news line publication eg selection of articles, various news items, general look of the magazine, editing etc. The committee head will be elected by the committee members.

STUDENT NEWS LINE COMMITTE LIST

Class Representative Committee:

From each class two CRs(One Academic and one Non-Academic CR) will be elected, who will be responsible for voicing the students’ concerns in academic and nonacademic areas. The committee head will be elected by the committee members.

Notice Board Committee:

|
Responsible for managing and monitoring various notice boards in the campus. The proposed notice boards are:

- Academics
- Administration, Examination and finance
- Extracurricular activities
- Placement and internship
- Daily News bulletins
- My corner ( Students’ Views and expressions). The committee head will be elected by the committee members.
