Skyline recognizes its obligation to society and hence in our small way time to time repay the society through our community services programmes. We organize, various cleaning campaigns, blood donation campaigns, visit to old age homes, handicapped centres etc. This not only help us to serve the society but also lead to development of issues sensitive citizens with regards to environment and the society.

Young mind needs guidance and could be best done through counseling. Recognizing to this need the institution has a full time counselor who is approachable. The University College has well in line a highly developed advising systems. A cohort is assigned to a professor who is responsible for the students from the time they enter the University College till they graduate. For all academic, non academic and even personal issues they can seek the advice of these experienced advisors who have rich experience

The Skyline University College Sports Department functions from Sept. to July of every academic year. The College organizes various inter university events for the universities in UAE. Apart from this the college has other inter discipline events for the students of Skyline University College, during which students of Skyline University College experience keen competition. The College has inducted a course called Community Services and Sports (1 credit hour) as part of the Curriculum effective Academic Year 2008-09.

Selection procedure for the College Team The Sports Department announces the games and sports selection trials schedule to all the classes in the month of September every year. Students are required to show their interest by registering with the appropriate team to be trained for the tournament as per the schedule. The Sports Manager, with the help of a Sports Committee, conducts trials to test the fitness of the students as per the norms of fitness tests during the last week of September and thereafter College team is formed. Information pertaining to the selection procedures is put on the notice board and copies are sent to concerned students. Services The Skyline University College sports department is an integral part of the learning system of the college. The sports department conducts training program, inter-discipline and intercollegiate activities. All the internal sports events help in identifying the right kind of sports personnel in Football, basket ball, Volley ball, table tennis and cricket to select a strong college team so that we win trophies at intercollegiate levels. Sports Department offers a well equipped multi-gym. Timings The sports facilities are open from 1100 hrs to 1900 hrs Sunday to Thursday as per the timetable displayed on the designated notice boards. Due consideration is given to allotting separate timings for boys and girls. Sports Committee It is headed by the Chairman, Sports Manager and a Sports Committee composed of student representatives and staff members. Student’s body is either nominated or elected depending on the house.
All decisions are taken by the sports committee. This sports committee helps in selecting, organizing and promoting the sports activities in and outside the college.

EVENTS
Inter-University Cricket Tournament Skyline University College is hosting this prestigious event annually for the last nine years. Every year the tournament is conducted during the month of November/December. Every year around 20 Universities take part in this tournament. This is one of the major Cricket Tournament in the University level in UAE Inter-University Table Tennis Tournament
Skyline Inter-University Table Tennis Tournament is another major event for the Universities in UAE. Every year around 15 Universities take part in this tournament

This is an internal event organized for the students of Skyline University College. This is usually conducted during the month of February. Various games like Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Throwball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Caroms and Chess are conducted. Students are divided into teams as per their majors. Inter-Discipline Cricket Tournament 4 majors in the College take part in this tournament. This is a prestigious event for the different disciplines in the College. This event is conducted in November every year.

To further enhance the overall learning the institution makes sure that the foreign students find University College a home away from home. The University College ensures that their housing needs are met and has currently tied up with one of the hotel apartments where they can stay and are catered to by University College representatives. The University College has already initiated the process of on campus hostel facility which is expected to complete by mid 2009. Once fully functional student will save traffic time which could be utilized for further development.

The institute firmly believes that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. The University College has a state of the art gymnasium and sports room fully equipped with resources for both indoor and outdoor games. To complement the equipments there is a sports manager to coach, guide and train students in physical fitness. No wonder the students have been performing exceptionally well in inter and intra regional competitions. Medical room has all the basic facilities for first aid and further the University College has tie up with doctors and health centers to meet emergencies and exigency.
