MARKETING

|
The major in marketing is intended to prepare students to comprehend basic marketing concepts in the initial phase. As it progresses, it is aimed at students understanding various facets of marketing in the ever-changing, modern business environment. It highlights the traditional approaches and link up with modern approaches, which are currently in use. This major infuses pragmatism into the theory. The purpose of this program is to empower students to continue higher academic pursuits in marketing as well as to utilize the concepts in their work contexts.

Objectives
|
- Enable students to acquire adequate knowledge and appropriate level of academic competence in the major areas of marketing, to pursue higher studies, seek employment or develop own marketing enterprises that can add value to personal career advancement and growth of the community
- Make students understand the need and approaches for identifying the sources of data, which impact the National and Global economies, regional businesses and market trends.
Equip them with skills to apply appropriate tools and techniques for problem solving and effective decision-making in the marketing operations.
- Develop appropriate skills among students that help them to plan, analyze, implement and evaluate the marketing activities under various situations of business in domestic as well global markets.
- Provide internship opportunity to apply the learned theoretical marketing concepts in practice.

Duration
|
- Total credits required for graduation – 120
- The 4 year – 8 semester degree program can be accelerated by taking summer semesters.
- Morning class – 0930 to 13:00 Hrs, Evening class – 1900 to 2200 Hrs
|

Recognition
|
At the end of duration of the program, students are awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree mentioning their area of specialization. Degrees are recognized and stamped by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE
|
