The Bachelor of Business Administration program with major in Finance is designed to develop the understanding of the functional and operational areas of finance. It emphasizes the role of information technology in developing problem solving, decision - making skills in effective discharge of responsibilities. Accounting and finance being an important area of business with multiple stakeholders, the importance of ethical behavior is adequately emphasized in this major. With UAE becoming a financial hub, the program is intended to address the requirement of skilled labor in the area of accounting and finance at the regional and global level.

Objectives
|
- Provide skills of creating and presenting financial statements.
- Provide various techniques to analyze financial statements, which help in identifying problem areas, take corrective actions and make financial decisions.
- Provide appropriate analytical skills to enable students identify ethical issues in discharge of accounting and finance function.
- Provide knowledge on arranging, spending and managing finance from the organizational perspective.
- Provide conceptual knowledge on the functioning of stock markets, currency markets, and derivative markets and their relationships.
- Provide conceptual knowledge of Debt, equity and hybrid instruments and their utility in taking investment and financing decisions.
- Provide understanding of functions of banks, insurance and investment companies.
- Provide knowledge of processes of effective management in investment return, risk, and their tradeoff, taking investment and financing decisions.
- Provide an understanding of working of traditional financial system, and alternatives offered by Islamic financial system.
- Provide knowledge of different accounting and financial software packages, their constant upgrades and alternative products, to enable students effectively and efficiently discharge their functional responsibilities in the area of accounting and finance.

Duration
|
- Total credits required for graduation – 36
- This is a non-thesis program, which can be finished in 18 months provided that the student meets the CGPA requirements
|
|
Recognition
|
At the end of duration of the program, students are awarded a Master of Business Administration degree mentioning their area of specialization. Degrees are recognized and stamped by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE
|

There are two admission intakes for the MBA program namely September and January each year
